I remember when my Mom and Dad would go out for the evening...but it was never as exciting as these Tuckers kids are making it, in this strip. I tend to remember Mom preparing hamburger with beans - that was the meal that us kids would have whenever Mom was out with Dad. And since I was a kid, I didn't like beans, so I spent a good part of my dinner picking out the beans, and just eating the hamburger. But I really don't remember babysitters, since my older sister usually filled that role. Now, I'm not bragging, but I do remember being the babysitter, and having kids react like this. But what is it about Myrtle that's so different from Ed? Perhaps the tuna sandwiches tell the tale. They remind me of hamburger with beans.Monday, April 7, 2008
April's first strip
