Just exactly at what age does a Mom develop eyes on the back of her head? And where exactly is Mom when we can't find her, but we know she's there? My advice to you: ask your Mom these questions while she's still in your life. My Mom passed away at a very young age - she was 58 in 1989, and it happened very quickly. Over the years, I've come up with questions that I would have liked to ask Mom - questions about her life as a kid, and the adults who were in her life then. I know she would be pleased reading "Fayette-cetera" each week - she believed and inspired me in all of my different interests involving my ever developing comic world. Mom was always helping me aqcuire the many "Peanut" books that filled the shelves of my room. When you're a kid, and you're into something like the "comics", it's great when an adult connects with you - you somehow feel justified, thinking "hey, if an older person likes this same thing that I'm involved in, it must mean that this "thing" is a pretty good thing!" But when it's your Mom, it's a true blessing. Who better understands you than your Mom, anyhow? Happy Mother's Day, Mom! I know you're reading this, too.Sunday, May 11, 2008
"Mom" rules in Fayette-cetera for May 10 2008
