"Fayette-cetera" dropped by local paper!

The final "Fayette-cetera" for the Democrat-Leader.

This comic strip ran each Saturday in the Democrat-Leader, starting in September 2003 until this last addition, in July of 2011.

It's weird - the characters are still alive and active in my mind. Hope I can find a new home for them.

This cartoon ran in the Democrat-Leader on Saturday, April 16, 2011 - and this paper was delivered to every home in Howard County, whether they subscribe or not. What a great marketing strategy.

All the characters are excited, since they're sure that some big wig national syndicate person most likey "read" this, and will only want to syndicate this 7+ year old comic. After all, we're not getting any younger. (That's me, not the characters...)

It's been really hot here lately. Daytime highs have been in the mid to upper '90's, and the humidity is even worse.

My cats are lucky to spend their days in air conditioned comfort... but still end up under the bed, on top of the sofa and hanging on their human.

My dog watches all of it, and just sighs. So go his "dog days".

The last "Fayette-cetera" for 2009 - ohmigosh! The years keep flying by. This comic celebrated it's 6th year last September - appearing once a week, on Saturdays, in the Democrat-Leader.

So, this year - 2010 - is the year I will be sending off some of theses "better" cartoons to the major syndicates - and make my stake as a syndicated cartoonist. Now is the time - the door is wide open.

The only time I can remember sitting on Santa's lap is captured in a picture, with me - very red in the face, mouth wide open, tears on my cheeks - doing my best to slide off Santa's knee, with my arms in the air, and a look of total upset on my face.

Hence, I didn't think writing to Santa after that would make much of a difference, so I never did write to him. But he always knew what I wanted, anyway.

Sure wish the 'Noisy Puppets' had been around when I was a kid!

And we continue to discover more about the personality of Steffie - I've known people like her - we all have, I'm sure. Be sure to watch for more, as Steffie continually tries to use her friends and family.

I remember always being READY to go back to school after the summer break. I watched a lot of TV during my time off, played with my friends, and did all those things to fill my days, but by the time August came around, I was ready to get back into the routine of school again. Perhaps my brain was just ready for more stimulation, than what it was getting from television.
